Experience
Extensive experience instructing and encouraging children/students ages 4-18 in individual and group settings: -Assistant Coach for Greensprings West VPSU swim team- wrote and implemented workouts for daily practices, provided individual instruction in private lessons (June-August 2007 and 2008) -High School Girl's Counselor for Mount Hermon Christian Camps (Santa Cruz, CA)- responsible for conducting group discussions and adapting camp-wide curriculum for specific group needs (June-August 2010) -Volunteer Leader (Middle and High School Girls) for Williamsburg Community Chapel- facilitated group discussions, supervised group activities and games, chaperone and mentor on retreats (September 2005-2010) Although I ultimately aim to teach at the university level, I have always found joy in teaching younger students, and look forward to the opportunity to expand and enrich their learning experiences. I am available for any English-related tutoring at any level. For high-school and beyond, I will be happy to support your student with summer reading comprehension, essay-editing, or preparing/refining college study skills. For younger students, I offer help with spelling and vocabulary, grammar basics, and developing writing skills.

Although I primarily focus upon research and academic writing in school, I also enjoy reading and writing poetry. When I'm not at work (Carrabba's Italian Grill), I also love singing and playing guitar, traveling, hiking, painting.
